Le Velo was a documentation project located on the ground level of the Bellagio; a residential apartment complex located in Wentworth point.
This apartment block is located on an oceanside bike and pedestrian road called The Promenade. The brief was to design a two-level interior and create a full documentation set.

The connection to the environment was an important aspect of creating Le Velo's aesthetic design. Blue and green hues feature frequently throughout and an open plan provides a feeling of community and connection. Warm hues in the timber and lighting contrast with the coolness of the majority of design elements.
Local artists displayed around the store bring bright color into the space and further the feeling of community and connection. Up the timber staircase, the retail bike store is cohesive with the dining area in its materiality and feel.

Functionality was also an important aspect of the design. The seating and circulation requirements of the Australian Standards for hospitality and retail venues were adhered to. Each aspect of this space was considered in terms of its usage and optimization.
